Welcome to the Elvesvingen (Norwegian meaning “bend of the river”) Lodge 1-582 of the Sons of Norway. We have monthly lodge meetings 10 months of each year. We also support several other activities during the year.
The Sons of Norway organization, with a tradition of more than 113 years, preserves and cherishes the heritage and culture of Norway and the other Scandinavian countries, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
Children, teens and adults are welcome and encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities, including language camps, genealogy, cultural activities, sports, crafts, and travel.
We have recently offered bus trips to “Norway Day” at Minnehaha Park, Mindekirken Church, relevant Science Museum exhibitions and to see plays of particular Scandinavian interest. All activities and lodge programs are designed to be both enjoyable and informative.
The Sons of Norway, a fraternal benefit society, offers lodge members a wide array of financial and insurance opportunities also.
We invite you to attend a lodge meeting and become one of us!
Vennlig hilsen (Warmest Greetings),
President
Elvesvingen Lodge 1-582
